Suspicious Package Containing White Powder Delivered to Manhattan DA’s Office

Emergency personnel have responded after a package containing suspicious white powder was delivered to the New York City building housing the Manhattan District Attorney’s office, according to police. The package was delivered by USPS on Friday, and police responded to the scene shortly after 12 p.m.

No injuries have been reported, and as of yet, no one has been ordered to evacuate. However, after the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, letters filled with a white powder containing anthrax spores were mailed to two U.S. Senators’ offices and news media agencies along the East Coast, so authorities are taking this incident seriously.

The Manhattan District Attorney, Alvin Bragg, is currently weighing whether to proceed with an indictment against former President Donald Trump for alleged hush money payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016.
